The opening day <\/strong>of the Jean-Marie Denoix Masterclass<\/strong> welcomed participants into an intensive program led by Professor Jean-Marie Denoix, DVM, PhD, Director of CIRALE (France) <\/strong>and one of the world\u2019s foremost authorities in equine anatomy, biomechanics, and lameness<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Renowned for his pioneering research in locomotor pathology<\/strong>, Professor Denoix<\/strong> introduced the session by emphasizing<\/strong> the importance of combining<\/strong> anatomical<\/strong> knowledge with diagnostic imaging<\/strong> in equine sports medicine<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day focused on the pelvic limb anatomy<\/strong> through detailed dissection<\/strong> of the distal limb<\/strong>, tarsus<\/strong>, crus<\/strong>, and stifle muscles<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants then observed a live ultrasound <\/strong>demonstration, covering key regions<\/strong> such as the metatarsus flexor tendons<\/strong>, proximal suspensory ligament<\/strong>, and stifle joints<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second day<\/strong> explored the biomechanics<\/strong> of the pelvic limb and pathologies<\/strong> commonly encountered<\/strong> in endurance horses<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the BioRex methodology<\/strong>, cases of DDF and SDF tendinopathies<\/strong>, proximal suspensory ligament injuries<\/strong>, and metatarsal bone fractures<\/strong> were presented and analyzed<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Afternoon sessions examined distal tarsus arthropathies<\/strong>, tibio-tarsal collateral desmopathies<\/strong>, and plantar tarsal sheath tenosynovitis<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Afternoon sessions included medial femoro-tibial injuries and cruciate ligament desmopathies<\/strong>, before closing with diagnostic and rehabilitation <\/strong>approaches to femoral muscle injuries<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
